What Can We Help With?

Common Reasons People Contact Us

๐Ÿ”ง Data Corrections An area code page shows the wrong city, state, time zone, or other factual error. Include the area code number and what needs to be fixed.
๐Ÿ”— Broken Links You found a link on our site that leads to a 404 page or doesn’t work. Tell us which page and which link is broken.
๐Ÿ“Š Missing Area Codes A new area code was recently announced or activated and we haven’t added it yet. Let us know the code and the region it covers.
๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Scam Reports You received a scam call from a specific area code and want to share details that could help others. We may add this info to the relevant page.
๐Ÿ“ Content Requests You’d like us to create a guide for a specific state, city, or topic related to area codes and phone number lookup.

Before You Reach Out

๐Ÿ’ก Quick Tip: Most questions about a specific area code are already answered on that code’s dedicated page. Try visiting areacodess.org/[code]-area-code/ (replace [code] with the 3-digit number) โ€” each page covers location, time zone, spam alerts, blocking steps, and FAQs. You might find your answer there without needing to email us.

A few things we cannot help with โ€” just so we’re upfront about it:

We are not affiliated with any phone carrier, government agency, or law enforcement. We cannot look up who owns a specific phone number, remove your number from spam lists, stop robocalls to your phone, or take action against scammers. For phone number complaints, contact the FTC or your phone carrier directly. For emergencies, call 911.

Response Time

โฑ๏ธ When to Expect a Reply

Data corrections & broken links: Typically updated within 24โ€“48 hours

General questions: We respond within 1โ€“3 business days

Business inquiries: Within 3โ€“5 business days

Privacy/CCPA/GDPR requests: Within 30 days as required by law

We’re a small team, so during busy periods it may take a bit longer. We appreciate your patience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you tell me who called me from a specific number?
No โ€” we don’t have access to phone number ownership records. We’re an informational directory about area codes, not a phone number lookup service. For reverse phone lookup, try Whitepages or Truecaller.
Can you stop spam calls to my phone?
Unfortunately no. We provide information about area codes and step-by-step guides on how to block spam calls yourself, but we can’t take action on your behalf. Each area code page includes detailed blocking instructions for iPhone and Android. You can also register at donotcall.gov to reduce telemarketing calls.
I found wrong information on one of your pages. How do I report it?
Please email us at contact@areacodess.org with the area code number, what’s incorrect, and what the correct information should be. We’ll review and update it within 24โ€“48 hours. We take accuracy seriously.
Are you affiliated with any phone company or government agency?
No. Area Codess is an independent informational website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any telecommunications company, carrier, government agency, or the NANPA. We use publicly available data from official sources to create our guides.
Can I use your content on my website?
Our content is copyrighted and cannot be reproduced without permission. If you’d like to reference or link to our guides, you’re welcome to do so with proper attribution. For licensing inquiries, contact us at contact@areacodess.org.
Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?
We may consider relevant, high-quality content partnerships on a case-by-case basis. Please email contact@areacodess.org with your proposal and we’ll review it.
